401(k)
For regular full-time, part-time, per-diem and flat-rate team members. The Banner Health 401(k) plan offers a powerful way to build retirement savings through pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions.
- You may contribute up to 100% of your eligible compensation (subject to IRS annual limits)
- The first 4% of your contributions must be pre-tax
- Additional contributions can be pre-tax, Roth post-tax or a combination of both
- Your 401(k) can be passed to your heirs, so remember to designate a beneficiary
401(k) employer match
Banner invests in your retirement. After your one-year anniversary, Banner matches your 401(k) pre-tax contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to 4% of your eligible compensation.
- The employer match does not count toward IRS annual contribution limits
- Match contributions are made each pay period
- Banner performs a year-end true-up to ensure you receive your full eligible match based on your earnings and contributions from the prior calendar year
- A true-up match is made during the first quarter of the following year, if you meet certain eligibility and timing requirements
403(b)
If you’re a registry team member through Banner Staffing Services, the Banner Health 403(b) plan offers you a similar opportunity to save for retirement on a pre-tax and/or Roth post-tax basis.
- You may contribute up to 100% of your eligible compensation (subject to IRS annual limits).
- Like the 401(k), your 403(b) can be passed on to your heirs, so remember to designate a beneficiary.
Investing
You can invest all contributions, including matching contributions and rollovers, in your choice of available investment funds.
- If you don’t select specific funds, your contributions will be contributed to an age-appropriate target date fund.
- Before investing, carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses.
